Photos & privacy
Where are my photos stored? Are they private?
On your device. Progress photos live in the app's private storage (and, only if you enable it, a copy in
your photo library). They are
never uploaded, because there is no account and no server. See our
Privacy Policy.
How do I browse or delete old photos?
Open the Gallery tab to see every photo you've logged. Filter by pose and toggle the
date and metrics overlays. Tap a photo to view it full-screen, then use Delete to remove it.
What does "Auto-align" do?
A Pro feature that detects your body position on your device and lines your photos up
automatically in Compare and the timelapse, so the subject stays put instead of jumping around. Your photos
are never uploaded for this.
Exports & sharing
How do I export my before and after as an animation?
Open Compare, switch to Wipe, pick your two photos, then tap
Export and choose the animated option. Fitness Trackr renders the sweep on your phone: it holds on
the before photo, wipes across to the after, and holds again. What you get is pixel for pixel what you saw on
screen.
GIF or MP4, and why does mine have a watermark?
GIF export is free and carries a small Fitness Trackr watermark.
MP4 video export, and removing the watermark, come with Pro - which is included
free for your first 14 days, so you can try both before deciding. MP4 is the better choice for Reels, TikTok and
Stories; GIF is better for messaging apps.
Exporting is slow, or the app looks stuck
Rendering happens entirely on your phone, one frame at a time, so a long timelapse takes a moment.
Keep the app in the foreground until it finishes. If you're exporting a very long timelapse, try trimming the date
range or hand-picking fewer photos.
Charts & metrics
How do I see the exact number for a past day?
Press and hold either chart on the Dashboard, then drag your finger. A marker snaps
from point to point showing that day, its value, and how much it changed since the entry before it. Lift your
finger and the chart goes back to normal.
My body fat shows a long string of decimals
That was a display bug in older versions, fixed in 1.3. Every value is now capped at
one decimal place. Update from the App Store and the numbers will render correctly, including ones imported earlier
from Apple Health.
Backups & devices
How do I back up or move my data?
Settings › Export creates a single backup file (your photos and dates, metrics,
milestones, and goal) that you can save or send to yourself via the share sheet. You can restore it from the
same screen.
I deleted the app or got a new phone. Can I get my data back?
Only if you made a backup first (Settings › Export). Because everything is stored on-device, uninstalling
the app removes your data. We can't recover it for you, since we never have a copy.
Pro & purchases
Is Pro really free for 14 days? What happens after?
Yes. Every install gets the full Pro feature set free for 14 days, and if you're
updating from an older version your 14 days start the moment you update. There is nothing to enter and
nothing to cancel: it is not a subscription, so nothing renews and you are never charged automatically.
When the window ends, the Pro features lock again and Pro is available as a one-time purchase you
keep forever. Everything you created during the 14 days, including exports you saved, stays yours.
What does Pro include?
A one-time purchase that unlocks: no watermark on exports, MP4 video
export for both your timelapse and your animated wipe, hand-picking which photos go in your
timelapse, auto-aligning your compare and timelapse photos, and
exclusive themes.
I bought Pro but it's not showing, or I'm on a new device
Open the paywall (Settings › Pro, or any locked feature) and tap Restore Purchases. As
long as you're signed in to the same Apple ID you bought it with, Pro will re-activate. Restoring is free.
Can I get a refund?
Apple Health
Does it sync with Apple Health?
It can read two things from Apple Health, your weight and
body-fat %, so your charts stay up to date without retyping. It's free,
opt-in, and read-only: Fitness Trackr never writes anything back to Apple Health. Turn it on
in Settings › Health › Import from Apple Health.
Why don't I see my scale data?
First enable it in Settings › Health › Import from Apple Health. If it's on
and values still don't appear, check that access is allowed in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access
& Devices › Fitness Trackr. Note that the first import only pulls the last 12
months, and a value you typed by hand is never overwritten by an imported one.
Notifications & permissions
My reminders aren't showing up
Make sure notifications are allowed: iOS Settings › Notifications › Fitness Trackr.
Reminders are scheduled on your device for the days and time you set in the app (Settings › Reminders).
How do I delete all my data?
Settings › Clear All Data, or just uninstall the app. Copies you saved to your photo
library or exported elsewhere aren't affected.
The camera or photo import isn't working
Check that the app has permission: iOS Settings › Fitness Trackr, then enable
Camera and Photos.
Reporting a problem
What is the fastest way to report a bug?
In the app, tap Settings › Support › Report a Problem. It opens an email with your
app version and device model already filled in, which is usually what we need to reproduce something. Add what you
did and what you expected, and send.
Where do I find my app version?
At the bottom of Settings, in the About footer, alongside links to this site and the
privacy policy.
